Oh Baby Movie Review:
Samantha Akkineni starring ‘Oh! Baby’ a remake of the Korean film ‘Miss Granny’ has hit the screens. Directed by BV Nandini Reddy. The film also stars Lakshmi, Rao Ramesh, Rajendra Prasad and Naga Shourya among others.
Samantha had said, “If today I am able to confidently say that this film has given me the best role of my career, it is only because of my team. I have worked with an extraordinary team.” She added, “Nandini is like my elder sister. I trusted her completely. That trust will show in my performance. I am so proud of what she has done with this film.”
Baby (Lakshmi) is a 70 years old woman who runs a college canteen of her own along with Chanti (Rajendra Prasad). Her way of caring is different and her over dominating nature is not liked by her daughter-in-law (Pragathi). Her daughter in law is affected very much mentally and health wise due to the naggings of Baby. The doctor advises the family to join Baby in an old age home. When her family plans to send her to Oldage home, some strange things happen in life and Baby gets a wish to become this young lady and lead her life once again. The updated younger version of Baby (Smanatha) comes as a tenant to Rajendra Prasad’s house. Rest of the story is as to how the new and young Baby(Samantha) makes use of this opportunity and how her life changes..
Concept of the film
Few Boring scenes in second half
Too much of emotional scenes
The film convincingly captures the circle of life.
