Decrease of Crude Oil Rates in International Market…Petrol & Diesel Prices likely to Decrease… Central to Focus on!
The price of crude oil in the international market decreased marginally. Brent futures traded at $86.75 per barrel. The price was recorded at 79.44 dollars in West Texas Intermediate. Compared to Saturday, the price of crude has decreased by two dollars in both these places. As a result, the burden on the oil companies has been reduced but not on the motorists.

Only three states have reduced the value added tax they collect after the central government reduced excise duty. The governments of Rajasthan, Kerala and Maharashtra have reduced VAT.
Maharashtra government has reduced VAT twice. As a result, their rates have further declined there. Even the BJP-ruled states have not shown much interest in reducing VAT on petrol and diesel prices.
