Good News for IRCTC Railway Passengers..Sleeper Coaches in Vande Bharat Trains
Indian Railways runs Vande Bharat trains with prestige. Currently, Vande Bharat Trains are available on 6 routes. Vande Bharat trains are running on New Delhi-Varanasi, New Delhi-Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, New Delhi-Amb Andaura, Mumbai Central-Gandhi Nagar, Mysore-Chennai, Nagpur-Bilaspur routes.
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that sleeper berths will be available in Vande Bharat trains soon. Currently Vande Bharat trains are available between 500 km to 600 km distance. The Railway Minister has announced that sleeper coaches will be made available for long-distance Vande Bharat trains.
Indian Railways has set a target of running 75 Vande Bharat trains by August 15, 2023. But currently only 6 trains are available. 8 more months to go. That means 69 hundred Indian trains should be run in 8 months. That means India has to run more than 8 trains per month. According to this calculation, 2 new Vande Bharat trains should be available per week.
The Railway Minister said that the Indian Railways will run a total of 400 Indian trains. According to this calculation, Vande Bharat trains will be available from major railway stations in India. Vande Bharat trains run by Indian Railways will soon be available in Telugu states as well.
There are various reports that Vande Bharat train will be available on Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam route, Secunderabad-Vijayawada route, Secunderabad-Vijayawada-Tirupati route. Indian Railways is considering several routes. But there is suspense as to which route the first Vande Bharat train will come to Telugu states.
On the other hand, Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar recently demanded a Vande Bharat train from Nagpur to Hyderabad. Sudhir Mungantiwar has written a letter to the Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav that the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra and Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, have business connections and can cover the districts of Nagpur, Gondia, Bhandara and Chandrapur.
Vande Bharat train travels at a speed of 160 km per hour. Vande Bharat train is unique in reaching 100 km per hour speed in just 52 seconds. Traveling on Vande Bharat trains reduces the travel time by 25 percent to 45 percent as compared to other trains.
Vande Bharat trains have automatic doors. There is a GPS based audio visual passenger information system. A wifi hotspot can be used for entertainment. Seats are comfortable in Vande Bharat trains. Executive class coaches have rotating chairs.
Vande Bharat trains have biovacuum type toilets. Handicapped accessible washrooms. There are braille letters for seat handle and seat numbers. Every coach has pantry facility. Hot coffee, lunch and cool drinks are available.
Vande Bharat Express Trains
Vande Bharat Express is a semi-high speed intercity electric multiple unit train service operated by Indian Railways. It is also known as Train 18, as it was designed and manufactured in India in 2018. The train is built with state-of-the-art technology and has several modern features, including automatic doors, GPS-based passenger information system, on-board Wi-Fi, and infotainment systems.
Vande Bharat Express has a maximum operating speed of 160 km/h (99 mph) and is currently running on the New Delhi-Varanasi and New Delhi-Katra routes in the initial phase. The train has a seating capacity of 1,128 passengers and offers two classes of service – Executive Class and Chair Car. Now there are many routes added parts of India like South India inter states connectivity between, Andhra Pradesh to Telangana, Telangana to Karnataka, Tamilnadu to Karnataka with number of routes connecting major cities.
The air-conditioned chair car coaches have a seating capacity of 78 passengers per coach, while the executive chair car coaches have a seating capacity of 56 passengers per coach. The train also has other facilities like onboard Wi-Fi, bio-vacuum toilets, and a passenger information system.

Executive Class

Chair Car class
The Chair Car class offers comfortable seating with features like adjustable headrests, leg rests, and individual charging points. This class also provides onboard catering services and has a separate pantry for the convenience of passengers.
Both Executive Class and Chair Car class have air-conditioning and CCTV cameras for the safety and comfort of passengers.
