Ace Director Mani Ratnam who is well known for his style of making movies. He is the one of the best director in Indian Cinema. No one is there like him with a Unique Style of Making and with different styles Screen Play Narration. Past few Years everyone thought Mani has lost his Glory and he is out of Track that his Vision of Movie making is not up to the mark. Many says he is not fit to this Generation.
Kadal(Kadali in Telugu) Movie is an example for that even Critics and media strongly affirmed this. But Mani Ratnam has shows his talent again with the Movie O.K Bangaram(O Kadhal Kanmani in Tamil Movie) That his Ideology and Vision of Movie making never get down and perhaps suits to this generation. Mani Ratnam Movies Like Thalapathi, Roja, Nayagan, Bombay, Geethanjali, Dilse, Sakhi(Alaipayuthey), Amrutha, Yuva(Ayutha Eluthu), Guru, Ravan are the best examples in his Career which are Epic Movies and Trend Setters.Now he is again bounce back and proved again with the Movie Cheliyaa (Kaatru Veliyidai) after O.K Kanmani(O.K Bangaram) that his Master Piece Legendary Movie making Still Continuous. Karthi who is improving in the sense of Acting Style and Movie Selection. Karthi is stepping in a right way like his brother Suriya. Karthi’s last 3 movies like Oopiri (Thozha in Tamil), Kashmora and now Cheliya(Kaatru Veliyidai) all movies are different subjects. Karthi is not only famous in Tamil, he is much familiar in Telugu as well. Karthi has very good acting skills which brought huge fan following to him in Telugu and Tamil. Karthi is the Son of Veteran Tamil Actor Siva Kumar.

Story:
Coming to the Cheliyaa(Kaatru Veliyidai) Movie Varun Chakrapani also called as V.C(Karthi) is a Fighter Pilot and Leela Abraham(Aditi Rao Hydari) doctor who came to Kashmir to find her love. Leela was knew about Varun from her brother who is co-pilot with Varun and who died in a plane crash, Where actually the plane has to be operated by Varun. Leela who is very soft nature girl, who decides to live in Kashmir in the memories of his brother and to find her guy she listened about, So she get appointed in Kashmir as Duty Doctor. Varun Who is fighter Pilot with different pace of moods like very romantic, Sincere deep lover, self centered, self minded and some times who behaves like an arrogant.
This two different poles deeply fall in love after where these two are met in hospital, when Leela take charges in a hospital at same time Varun is severely injured and admitted in same local hospital is a co incidence. But Varun’s love has different shades where he loves leela deeply, but some times show his arrogancy with rudely at her. This makes their love imbalance. But the same time both has Same ratio of love and leave with out each other. A situation creates disturbance between them, simultaneously Varun to admit in Kargil war. His plane crashes with a Missile Bomb attack by Pakistani Terrorists and he lands in to Pakistan and Jailed by the Pakistani Police. How he faced problems in Jail, Whether he find true love with leela or not, he realised his offence with leela, whether he escaped from Pakistan and met leela again or not is the rest of the Story.
Performances:
Lead roles Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari Performances are very matured and Extravagant. Both has much scope to perform on Screen. If it is a Mani ratnam Movie no need to say any thing in terms of Performance that the emotions they carry. The lave and Romantic Scenes between Varun and Leela are simply Superb. Varun and Leela friend Characters did justice up to their roles and it’s length. Even Varun Family also the same.
Technical Team:
Mani Ratnam Portrayed the Story in his Style is Tremendous. The Script and Screenplay are Extravagant. In the First of the Locations are mesmerising and Visual Feast to the Audience Eyes. The Air base Camp, Kargil War and Fighter Planes Riding, Hero Imprisonment in Pakistan Jail every thing looks Natural in the Story Context. Music and Songs are the another big asset for the Movie. AR Rahman Scored music and Songs are Superb. Especially the BGM’s are simply Superb. Ravi Varman Cinematography and A.Sreekar Prasad editing is Richy. Production values are High in terms of Story and it’s Narration and Locations. Maniratnam Directed and Produced this Cheliyaa (Kaatru Veliyidai) Movie on Madras talkies banner.
