Godavari River is Flooding and Catchment Areas in Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana States are submerged in Flood Water. Last few Weeks in India, It’s a huge rainfall happening which is never happened before in the last 100 Years. Majorly The River Godavari Basement areas are flooding with water and submerged with Godavari River in the last 3-4 days.
The Godavari River from the starting point Nashik to end points of Antharvedi & Yanam in Andhra Pradesh, there are many Sub Rivers, Canals, Ponds, reservoirs and Dams are over flowing. These Over flowing Godavari River and it’s Catchment areas in the Country from North to South India are submerged under flood water.

Parts of Nashik City is submerged in Godavari Flood water. Majorly the Godavari Flood water impacting on end points in Andhra Pradesh. Where it’s Considered from Telangana State Kaleswaram, Chrla, Dumma Gudem, Mulugu, Eturu Nagaram, Vajedu, Charla, Kunavaram, Bhadrachalam, Burgampahad, Kukkunuru, Veleru Padu, Papikondalu, Chinturu, Polavaram, Seethanagaram, Rajahmundry, Vadapalli, P.Gannavaram, Kotipalli, Nagullanka, Razole, Elamanchili, Narsapuram, Dindi, Rajullanka, Peravaram, Vijjeswarapurm, Atreyapuram, Ravulapalem, Yanam and Antharvedi Godavari River Catchment areas in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States are already Submerged in Water for last 1 week and many areas are still under huge impact with 20 -30 Lakhs of cusecs Water with over flowing of the Rivers and Dams under Godavari.
Bhadrachalam Town and Surrounded Areas are submerging in Water due to flood levels of Godavari River increasing. Now the Water levels at Godavari River in Bhadrachalam are at 72 Feet. It may touch around 80 feet, if the flood water continuous and increases.
Many towns and Villages in AP & Telangana are flooding with 10’s of feet water levels and Submerging in Godavari. Why our State Governments and Indian Governments are not much concerned on the Flood Disaster Management. If we focus on this issue with a vision we’ve a huge options that helps to control the floods and saving lakhs of cusecs water which is going in to Bay of Bengal Ocean.
The Linkage of Rivers in India
The River Management which to be the Linkage of Rivers and connecting them with canals. The Former Chief Minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidu did this with a Vision the Linkage of Rivers Krishna and Godavari. The So called Pattiseema Project linking Godavari river to Krishna not only just linking the rivers. It’s helping in water storage and Supply to many Towns & villages not only under Godavari and Krishna River Basin, It’s helping to far areas where there is a high dependency on Agriculture Areas with no Rivers and Canals are also getting Water Supply and Storage to the Ponds, Lakes and Canals.
Telangana State Honorable CM K .Chandra Sekhar Rao (KCR) took initiative on this and started Mission Bhageeratha. The Mission Bhageeratha made developing the Dams, reservoirs, Canals, Ponds and linking them, as well as Pumping Water to many areas to Supply the Drinking including Hyderabad Metropolitan City. Now the Drinking water Supply is running partially in some parts of the State. Now with Heavy rainfall all dams and reservoirs are running to full Pot. There is no water crisis for the Year. Even It’s Increased the Demand of Water supply to many parts of Telangana.
Indian and State Governments need to be focus on this issue and need to Linkage the rivers which helps to Increase the Ground level water keeping in mind with a vision to resolve the water crisis for next 100 Years in India. We can save the Lakhs of cusecs water every year with no wastage which are merging in to Ocean. Our Honorable PM Narendra Modi will take initiative steps towards the Linkage of All rivers in India and hope the visionary dream comes true soon. Jai Bharat….Jai Hind…!
